Habib Nurmagomedov showed respect to Russian journalist at UFC 223 title win

Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, recalled his experience covering Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 championship victory eight years ago in Brooklyn. After interviewing Artem Lobov following his confrontation with Khabib, Bostanov encountered Ali Abdelaziz who emotionally told him not to approach their team. However, Khabib intervened, putting his arm around Bostanov and telling Abdelaziz, "This is our guy, he's just doing his work." Bostanov also witnessed 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel entrance when word spread that Conor McGregor's team might arrive. After the event, despite exhaustion, Khabib emerged from his crowded hotel room to take photos with Bostanov and speak with numerous well-wishers via phone. Years later, Khabib recognized and offered Bostanov a ride near Krasnopresnenskaya metro station, demonstrating his continued approachability despite championship success.
