Azamat Bostanov, now an MMA manager, recounted his experience covering Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 championship victory in Brooklyn eight years ago. Despite manager Ali Abdelaziz initially telling Bostanov not to approach their team after Bostanov had interviewed Artem Lobov following the bus incident, Khabib intervened and told Abdelaziz that Bostanov was "our guy" and was just doing his job. Bostanov recalled how 20-30 Dagestanis gathered at the hotel ready to prevent any provocations from Conor McGregor's team. He also shared how Zabir Magomedsharipov fought with two broken fingers without telling anyone to avoid being pulled from the card. After the fight, despite exhaustion and a packed hotel floor with many strangers, Khabib took time to photograph with everyone and speak with fans via video calls. Years later, Khabib even stopped his vehicle to greet Bostanov and offer him a ride, showing consistent kindness despite his championship status.
