Manager Azamat Bostanov shared memories from Khabib Nurmagomedov's lightweight title victory at UFC 223 in Brooklyn eight years ago. After interviewing Artem Lobov about the infamous bus incident, Bostanov was confronted by Ali Abdelaziz who told him to stay away from the team, but Khabib intervened saying "This is our guy, he's just doing his work." Bostanov recalled 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to defend Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocation. He also revealed that Zabit Magomedsharipov fought with two broken fingers, keeping the injury secret to avoid commission intervention. Despite exhaustion after winning the belt, Khabib spent time with the crowd at his hotel, taking photos, speaking with fans' relatives via video calls, and later even stopped to offer Bostanov a ride when spotting him on the street a year later.
