Seventeen days ago, as floods ravaged the region, Makhachev called on local leadership to address the construction issues, stating that Makhachkala has turned into one massive chaotic building site. Today he reposted content from geographer Dmitry Koryukhin, a schoolteacher in Dagestan, who shared aerial images illustrating the urban planning disaster. The post criticizes low-quality residential complexes built too close together and numerous unauthorized constructions that have contributed to the region's problems.
