Jan Blachowicz has successfully undergone knee surgery under the care of Dr. Damiusz Zaborowski and Dr. Michalik. Blachowicz stated that everything went according to plan and that the medical team did outstanding work to restore full functionality to his knee as quickly as possible. The former light heavyweight champion emphasized that returning to full functionality was the priority. In his statement, Blachowicz mentioned that there is a plan in place and hinted at a new fight date, suggesting he will return to action once recovered. Dr. Michalik also performed additional sinus work during the procedure.
