Journalist and current fighter manager Azamat Bostanov shared memories from Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 victory eight years ago in Brooklyn. Bostanov arrived the day of the famous Artem Lobov confrontation and managed to interview Lobov despite Ali Abdel-Aziz initially telling him to stay away from the team. Khabib intervened, saying Bostanov was their guy just doing his job. Bostanov recalled 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations. He also revealed that Zabit Magomedsharipov broke two fingers during warmups but fought anyway without telling the athletic commission. After the fight, despite exhaustion, Khabib gave time to everyone who wanted photos and greetings, even people he didn't know crowding his hotel room. Bostanov emphasized that years later, Khabib remained the same friendly person who always made time for brief conversations.
