Vadim Nemkov disclosed that kidney problems in 2022 severely impacted his cardio during sparring and his first fight with Corey Anderson. Nemkov would perform well in the first round but experience complete exhaustion in the second, feeling as if his 'gas tank ran dry.' After the Anderson loss, doctors identified the kidney issue and found a legal pharmaceutical solution that restored his health. Nemkov has since eliminated all sports supplements from his diet, including creatine, protein, and BCAAs, as they placed additional strain on his kidneys. He now only takes vitamins such as omega-3, fish oil, magnesium, and B vitamins. Nemkov stated he doesn't feel worse without supplements and emphasized the importance of proper nutrition and sleep.
