Vadim Nemkov says Ovechkin more recognizable than Khabib in America now

Bellator fighter Vadim Nemkov believes Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than Khabib Nurmagomedov. In an interview, Nemkov explained that hockey is hugely popular with American children and Ovechkin remains constantly in the news after breaking Wayne Gretzky's record and continuing to set new ones. He noted that many American boys play hockey from childhood and all young hockey players know who Ovechkin is. In contrast, Nemkov stated that Khabib is not as well-known anymore, doesn't make headlines as much, and doesn't appear in the news as frequently since his retirement. Nemkov suggested both would be recognized, but gave the edge to Ovechkin based on current media presence and the popularity of hockey among American youth.
