Russian boxer Sergey Gorokhov and his team were attacked by a mob inside the ring in Turkey following his second-round knockout victory over local fighter Emirhan Kalkan. After celebrating his win, Gorokhov was confronted by a man in civilian clothes who appeared connected to Kalkan, leading to a shoving incident with Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail. This triggered a crowd assault on Gorokhov and his team, with Ismail and another cornerman requiring hospitalization. After treatment, the three immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing Russian license plates as a precaution. Gorokhov stated "about 50 people were on my head" describing the attack.
