Sergey Gorokhov defeated local boxer Emirhan Kalkan by second-round knockout in Trabzon, Turkey, improving his record from 16-11-2. After celebrating his victory, a man in civilian clothes associated with Kalkan confronted and pushed Gorokhov. When Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail pushed back, a crowd rushed into the ring and attacked Gorokhov and his team. Ismail and another cornerman were taken to the hospital for treatment. Following their release, the entire team immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates as a precaution, and arrived safely.
