Sergey Gorokhov (16-11-2) knocked out local Turkish boxer Emirhan Kalkan (7-0) in the second round in Trabzon, Turkey, after scoring a knockdown in the first round. After his victory celebration, a man in civilian clothes connected to Kalkan entered the ring and confronted Gorokhov. When Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail pushed this man, a mob rushed into the ring and violently attacked Gorokhov and his team. Ismail and another cornerman were taken to the hospital for treatment. Following their release, the entire team immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates as a precaution, and arrived safely.
