Sergey Gorokhov scored a second-round knockout victory over previously undefeated Turkish boxer Emirhan Kalkan (7-0) in Trabzon, Turkey. After celebrating his win, Gorokhov was confronted by a man in civilian clothes, leading to a physical altercation when Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail pushed the man. A mob then stormed the ring and attacked Gorokhov and his team. Ismail and another cornerman were hospitalized following the incident. After receiving medical treatment, the team immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates as a precaution. All members of the team have reportedly made it to safety.
