Sergey Gorokhov (16-11-2) knocked out Emirhan Kalkan (7-0) in the second round during a boxing match in Trabzon, Turkey, on April 26th, 2026. After celebrating his victory, Gorokhov was confronted by a man in civilian clothes connected to Kalkan. When Gorokhov's cornerman Ismael pushed this man, a crowd rushed into the ring and attacked Gorokhov and his team. Ismael and another cornerman were hospitalized. Following treatment, the three immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing Russian license plates for safety. The incident occurred after Gorokhov had also scored a knockdown in the first round.
