Kaliningrad boxer Sergey Gorokhov (16-11-2) and his team were attacked by a crowd in the ring following his second-round knockout victory over local fighter Emirhan Kalkan (7-0) in Turkey. After celebrating his win, Gorokhov was confronted by a man in civilian clothes connected to Kalkan, leading to a physical altercation when Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail pushed the man. This triggered a mass assault on Gorokhov and his team by numerous people who rushed into the ring. Two members of Gorokhov's team were hospitalized following the incident. After receiving medical attention, the three immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates as a precaution. Gorokhov stated approximately 50 people were involved in the attack.
