Kaliningrad boxer Sergey Gorokhov (16-11-2) knocked out local fighter Emirhan Kalkan (7-0) in the second round in Turkey, which led to a crowd attacking him and his team in the ring. After Gorokhov celebrated his victory, a man in civilian clothes approached and yelled at him, leading to pushing and shoving. Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail then pushed the man, triggering a mob to storm the ring and assault Gorokhov and his team. Two cornermen were taken to the hospital after the incident. Following their release from the hospital, the team immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates for safety. They successfully reached Georgia without further incident.
