Journalist recalls Nurmagomedov's graciousness after UFC 223 title win

Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, shared his memories of Khabib Nurmagomedov's championship victory at UFC 223 in Brooklyn eight years ago. Bostanov recalled how manager Ali Abdelaziz initially told him not to approach their team, but Nurmagomedov intervened, saying "This is our guy, he's just doing his job." After the victory over Al Iaquinta, despite being exhausted, Nurmagomedov came out to meet fans, placed his championship belt on Bostanov's shoulder for photos, and spent time with a crowd of well-wishers in his hotel. Bostanov noted that Nurmagomedov spoke with everyone present, including many strangers, and facilitated video calls so their friends and relatives could congratulate him. The journalist emphasized that even years later, after multiple title defenses, Nurmagomedov remained the same friendly person who always made time for brief conversations, once even stopping to offer him a ride in Moscow.
