ONE Championship releases five fighters including grappling star Garry Tonon

ONE Championship has released five fighters from their MMA and Muay Thai rosters. The most notable release is Garry Tonon, who holds a 9-2 record and fought for a belt in the promotion. Tonon conducted his entire professional MMA career with ONE and is considered one of the strongest and most accomplished grapplers on the planet. Also released were MMA fighter Magomed Akaev (10-2), and Muay Thai fighters Stefan Korodi (2-3-0), Amber Kitchen (0-2-0), and Zafer Sayik (0-3-0). While the other releases had struggled in ONE and lacked media presence, Tonon's departure is more surprising given his success and profile in the organization.
