Topuria and Makhachev dispute who withdrew from White House fight

Ilia Topuria claims he was told hours before the White House event announcement that he would fight Islam Makhachev, but was later informed Makhachev got injured and he would face Justin Gaethje instead. Topuria stated he doesn't understand why Makhachev doesn't want to fight him. Islam Makhachev responded by saying he's tired of hearing fabrications from Topuria and his team, claiming he agreed to the White House fight but was told the next day that Topuria demanded a huge fee and was denied. Makhachev insists Topuria refused the fight and knows it. In a social media exchange, when a fan commented at 4am telling Ali to go to sleep, Makhachev replied "Today it's not him," suggesting he was personally responding rather than through his manager.
