Shamil Gaziev revealed he weighed 140 kilograms before starting his training camp for UFC Perth, addressing concerns about his weight management in the heavyweight division. The fighter has been dieting for the past six weeks and according to his social media, currently weighs 119 kilograms with no expected issues making weight. Gaziev's revelation counters assumptions that heavyweight fighters don't cut significant weight. He clarified that the 140kg figure was from before camp preparations began, not during his training period, alleviating concerns about his ability to make the 120kg heavyweight limit.
