Quillan Salkilld still upset opponent retired after handing him sole loss

Quillan Salkilld remains frustrated that the only fighter to defeat him in his professional career, Pablo Torrealba, retired immediately after their bout. Salkilld said he knew Torrealba and had trained with him once about two years before their fight, but they did not communicate much and he has not contacted him since. He joked about having a "curse" of never being undefeated, having lost his first fight in both professional MMA and amateur competition, as well as in kickboxing. On February 13, 2021, Salkilld made his MMA debut against Torrealba, who won by rear-naked choke in the second round. That was Torrealba's only professional MMA fight, and he is reportedly now working as a coach at a gym.
