Kholmirzaev becomes new ONE flyweight champion at Samurai 1

At ONE Samurai 1, Avazbek Kholmirzaev captured the ONE flyweight MMA title by knocking out Yuya Wakamatsu in round two. The 25-year-old Kholmirzaev improved to 16-2 overall and 10-1 in ONE Championship, showcasing high-level striking with excellent timing, creativity, and a killer instinct. In another major result, Takeru Segawa handed legendary Thai boxer and kickboxer Rodtang Jitmuangnon his first stoppage loss in 13 years, winning the interim ONE flyweight kickboxing title by fifth-round TKO.
