Louis Sutherland and Brando Pericic both used their post-fight interview time at UFC Perth to lobby for spots on the UFC Belgrade card scheduled for August 1st, making their intentions clear while the wins were still fresh.

Sutherland directed his callout specifically at Marcin Tybura, proposing the two meet in Serbia. Tybura, a 40-year-old Polish heavyweight ranked seventh in the division, carries a 27-11-0 record and trains out of Ankos MMA. Standing six-foot-three with a 78-inch reach, the orthodox striker lands 3.56 significant strikes per minute at 48 percent accuracy and adds 1.3 takedowns per 15 minutes, making him a well-rounded threat at the top of the heavyweight landscape.

Pericic did not name a specific opponent but made clear he wants to fight on the Belgrade card, pointing to his Croatian roots as a reason to compete in the Balkans. Known as "The Balkan Bear," the 31-year-old stands six-foot-five with a 79-inch reach and holds a 7-1-0 record. His striking output is exceptional, landing 12.91 significant strikes per minute at a 64 percent accuracy rate, among the highest marks in his division.

Why it matters

  • Sutherland's callout gives Tybura, currently ranked seventh at heavyweight, a potential next opponent and keeps the division moving at 265 pounds.
  • Pericic's Balkan heritage adds a regional storyline to his pursuit of a Belgrade booking, which could draw strong local interest.
  • Both fighters are coming off victories, strengthening their cases for quick turnarounds on a geographically meaningful card.
