Reports out of Ag. Fight indicate that Nazim Sadykhov and Mateus Camilo are being targeted for a matchup at UFC Baku on June 27, though the bout has not yet received official confirmation from the promotion.

Sadykhov, nicknamed "Black Wolf," enters the potential contest carrying a professional record of 11-3-1 and a 4-1-1 mark inside the UFC. The 32-year-old Azerbaijani fighter trains out of Longo-Weidman MMA and would have the added motivation of competing in front of a home crowd in Baku. Fighting out of a southpaw stance, Sadykhov stands five-foot-ten with a 69-inch reach and has shown consistent offensive output in the octagon, landing 4.79 significant strikes per minute at 49 percent accuracy. He also mixes in a modest grappling threat, averaging 1.1 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Camilo, who holds a 1-1 record in the UFC, would be looking to get back in the win column and establish himself more firmly on the roster. The Brazilian has limited promotional experience to date and would face a stern test in Sadykhov on what amounts to his opponent's home turf.

Why it matters

  • Sadykhov fighting in Azerbaijan adds a home-crowd dynamic that could factor into the event's atmosphere and stakes
  • A win for either man would represent a meaningful step toward divisional relevance
  • Camilo needs a victory to avoid falling to .500 in the UFC, while Sadykhov aims to push further above the break-even mark
  • The unconfirmed status means fight-camp planning for both camps may still be in flux
