Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, shared detailed memories of Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 championship victory eight years ago in Brooklyn. He recounted the legendary Artem Lobov-Khabib confrontation, interviewing Lobov that day which became a viral moment. Bostanov described how Ali Abdel-Aziz initially told him not to approach the team, but Khabib intervened saying "This is our guy, he's just doing his work." He recalled 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations. After the fight, Khabib's hotel floor was packed with people, many he didn't know, but he took time to greet everyone, pose for photos with his belt, and speak with fans via video calls. Bostanov also revealed that Zabit Magomedsharipov broke two fingers during warm-ups but fought anyway without telling the athletic commission. Years later, Khabib still recognized Bostanov on the street and offered him a ride, showing his continued humble nature.
