Carlos Prates has achieved the fastest seven-knockout streak in UFC history, accomplishing the feat in just eight fights. The previous record holders were heavyweights Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, who needed nine fights. Only 62 fighters out of 2,710 who have competed in the UFC's 33-year history (2.29%) have ever accumulated seven knockouts, making Prates' rapid pace even more remarkable. He has also recorded the fastest 14 knockdowns in UFC history over 17 incomplete rounds, the highest knockdown rate per 15 minutes of fight time ever, and earned seven Performance of the Night bonuses faster than anyone else—needing just eight fights compared to the average of 15. Prates recently knocked out two former UFC champions, Leon Edwards and Li Jingliang, both of whom had never been knocked out before. The post suggests that if Islam Makhachev defeats Ian Garry, Prates, and potentially Shavkat Rakhmonov, he could equal or surpass Jon Jones' legacy.
