Joshua Van does not believe the injury that ended his fight with Alexandre Pantoja was luck or coincidence. Van explained that Pantoja threw an early leg kick, which Van vowed to counter. When Pantoja attempted another kick, Van caught the leg and pushed him, causing Pantoja to break his arm. Van stated he wants a rematch with Pantoja but will not wait indefinitely for him to heal. He expressed his desire to be an active champion and fight everyone in the division. Van indicated he is ready to move on to the next opponent if Pantoja's recovery takes too long.
