Sean Brady disclosed that his bout with Michael Morales was at risk of being scrapped during fight week due to medical issues with the athletic commission. Brady learned on Thursday that the fight might not happen, and the uncertainty continued through Friday. He only received confirmation that he would compete on Saturday evening, just before heading to the event. While Brady emphasized he had an excellent training camp and took full responsibility for his performance, he acknowledged that the behind-the-scenes situation prevented him from being fully focused. Despite the challenges, Brady stressed that fighters must remain completely concentrated for the duration of the fight, whether it's 15 or 25 minutes.
