Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective on living in Poland versus the United States during a podcast appearance. The UFC lightweight contender argued that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more technologically modern than America, citing examples like contactless payment systems being adopted in Poland years before the U.S. Gamrot criticized American hospitality as superficial and shared anecdotes about attending barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. He acknowledged the U.S. offers career advantages for professional fighters but emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better, noting even his children preferred returning home to Poland despite being on vacation in Florida. The comments reflect Gamrot's experience living and training in both countries as an international MMA athlete.
