Mateusz Gamrot has shared extensive thoughts comparing Poland favorably to the United States across multiple dimensions. The Polish lightweight contends that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America despite political issues at home. Gamrot cited examples of technological adoption, noting that portable payment terminals were implemented in Poland a decade before he encountered them in U.S. restaurants. He criticized American social interactions as superficial, contrasting the "Hi, how are you?" culture with Polish directness and hospitality. Gamrot emphasized that while the U.S. offers career advantages for his sport, quality of life is not necessarily better, noting even his children prefer returning home to Poland from Florida vacations.
