Carlos Prates has achieved three historic UFC records in just eight fights. He became the fastest fighter ever to reach seven knockout victories, ahead of heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez who needed nine fights. Only 2.29% of all UFC fighters (62 of 2,710) have ever accumulated seven knockouts. Prates also set the record for fastest to 14 knockdowns in just 17 incomplete rounds, posting the highest average knockdown rate per 15 minutes in UFC history. Additionally, he earned seven Performance of the Night bonuses faster than anyone, needing only eight fights compared to the average of 15. The analysis suggests Prates represents one of the top three most explosive eight-fight runs in UFC history, having finished two former UFC champions who had never been knocked out before.
