Footage has emerged of Khamzat Chimaev's amateur MMA debut from September 2017 in Sweden, where he competed under Fight Club Rush. Chimaev finished his opponent Khaled Laalam with a rear-naked choke in the second round. He went on to win all three of his amateur bouts before turning professional the following year in 2018. Laalam is now 7-1 as a professional and competes in UAE Warriors.
