An infographic was released showing how many fighters in the top 15 and top 5 of each UFC division are currently on winning streaks of three or more fights, excluding champions. The analysis reveals that the light heavyweight division has zero fighters in the top 15 on a three-fight winning streak. Furthermore, only one fighter in the entire light heavyweight top 15 has any kind of winning streak at all, and that is Paulo Costa, one of whose wins came at middleweight. The post contrasts this with the welterweight division, which is currently considered the most competitive, deep, and well-stocked division in the UFC. The author suggests that while welterweight represents peak competition, light heavyweight represents the inverse of that competitive depth.
