Carlos Prates has achieved multiple unprecedented UFC milestones in just eight fights. He became the fastest fighter in UFC history to record seven knockout victories, doing so in eight bouts compared to the previous record of nine fights held by heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez. Prates also recorded 14 knockdowns in just 17 incomplete rounds, the fastest accumulation in UFC history and the highest average knockdown rate per 15 minutes of fight time. Additionally, he became the fastest to earn seven Performance of the Night bonuses, doing so in eight fights while the average fighter requires 15 bouts to reach that number. The post notes he knocked out two former UFC champions back-to-back, both of whom had never been knocked out before, including one who was finished with leg kicks while still in peak form. The analysis suggests that if Islam Makhachev defeats Ian Garry, Prates, and Shavkat Rakhmonov, he would equal or surpass Jon Jones' legacy.
