Mateusz Gamrot discussed his perspective on living in Poland versus the United States during a podcast appearance. He stated that the more he travels, the more he appreciates Poland, describing it as clean, safe, and modern despite governmental problems. Gamrot criticized American hospitality, recounting being invited to barbecues twice where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food, contrasting this with Polish hospitality. He noted that Americans are superficially friendly with scripted greetings, and mentioned being surprised when he once genuinely answered that he had problems, leaving the person confused. Gamrot explained that while the USA offers career advantages for sports, everyday life isn't necessarily better, citing an example of his children preferring to return to their grandmother in Poland despite being on a Florida beach. He concluded that at home, everything is resolved faster because you know the shortcuts, while in America you're always last in line.
