Carlos Prates has achieved several unprecedented milestones in his first eight UFC fights. He became the fastest fighter in UFC history to record seven knockout victories, accomplishing this in eight fights compared to the previous record holders, heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez, who needed nine. Prates also set the record for fastest to 14 knockdowns, achieving this in just 17 incomplete rounds, and holds the highest average knockdown rate per 15 minutes of fight time in UFC history. Additionally, he became the fastest to earn seven Performance of the Night bonuses, doing so in eight fights while the average fighter requires 15 bouts. The analysis suggests that if Islam Makhachev defeats Ian Garry and Prates, he would equal Jon Jones' legacy, and surpass it with an additional victory over Shavkat Rakhmonov.
