Arman Tsarukyan meets with Joell Alvarez, proposes future title fight rematch

Arman Tsarukyan met with Joell Alvarez in New Jersey and proposed an ambitious future scenario. Tsarukyan jokingly suggested that Alvarez should take the welterweight title while he captures the lightweight championship, then they could have a rematch. The two previously fought in February 2022, when Tsarukyan defeated Alvarez by TKO in the second round with ground-and-pound. Since that loss, Alvarez has been undefeated and has moved up to welterweight, where he defeated Vicente Luque in October. The friendly meeting showed mutual respect between the fighters despite their competitive history.
