Active lightweight win streaks have changed dramatically over past two years

An analyst documented how the longest active winning streaks in the UFC lightweight division have evolved over the past two years. Currently, the list is topped by Islam Makhachev's lengthy streak, but the composition of fighters holding multi-fight streaks has shifted substantially. One year ago, the top streaks included Paddy Pimblett at six wins and several fighters at five. Two years ago, Makhachev had 12 wins with Renato Moicano and Pimblett at five. In April 2022, Charles Oliveira led with 10 consecutive wins, followed by Makhachev at nine and Beneil Dariush at seven.
