Mateusz Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The lightweight contender shared observations from his travels, noting that Poland had contactless payment terminals a decade before many American establishments. He criticized Americans as less hospitable, recounting experiences where he was invited to barbecues but had to bring his own food or go hungry. Gamrot also described American social interactions as superficial, saying people expect simple "fine, bye bye" responses rather than genuine conversation. Despite acknowledging the U.S. offers career advantages for his sport, he emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, noting even his children prefer being home in Poland.
