Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective comparing Poland to the United States, stating his home country is cleaner, safer, more hospitable and in many ways more modern than America. The UFC lightweight described experiences at American restaurants where basic payment technology lagged behind Poland by a decade. Gamrot criticized American social interactions as superficial, noting people's scripted "How are you?" greetings and inability to handle genuine responses about problems. He recounted his children preferring to return to their grandmother in Poland despite being on a Florida beach with palm trees. While acknowledging the USA offers advantages for sports careers, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, and that navigating daily tasks is easier at home where he knows the shortcuts. The comments came during an appearance on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast.
