Sean Strickland responded to Khamzat Chimaev posting their sparring footage, calling Chimaev a weak man for sharing what was supposed to be light sparring warmup rounds. Strickland emphasized the session was just three rounds of light technical work, not competitive sparring. He criticized Chimaev for only wanting to spar with lower-level fighters when they trained together. Strickland made personal comments about the video quality and angle, also inserting remarks about sexual orientation differences between himself and Chimaev. He maintained that the footage doesn't provide any meaningful insight into how an actual fight between them would play out.
