Khamzat Chimaev addressed various topics during a media day appearance, dismissing Sean Strickland's claim that they will "die as enemies" and never shake hands after their fight. Chimaev explained he posted old sparring footage with Strickland because Sean accused him of only sparring weak opponents, noting that Strickland complained to coaches when the intensity increased during their sparring session. When asked about Arman Tsarukyan's chances against Strickland if he moved up to middleweight, Chimaev confidently stated that Arman would win and could beat Strickland even at lightweight. Regarding his fight plans, Chimaev said he doesn't plan anything specific and will simply fight as always, trusting in God's will. He expressed frustration about his inactivity, stating he's ready to fight every three months but has faced visa problems. Chimaev also mentioned he's open to moving weight classes depending on what UFC offers and how much they pay.
