Carlos Prates has achieved several unprecedented UFC records during his first eight promotional fights. He became the fastest fighter in UFC history to record seven knockout victories, accomplishing this faster than heavyweights like Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez who needed nine fights. Out of 2,710 fighters who have competed in the UFC over 33 years, only 62 have reached seven knockouts, making this a 2.29% achievement rate. Prates also recorded 14 knockdowns faster than anyone in UFC history, doing so in just 17 incomplete rounds, and earned seven Performance of the Night bonuses faster than any fighter ever, while others averaged 15 fights to reach that mark. The analyst suggests this represents one of the top three greatest eight-fight stretches in UFC history, noting Prates has knocked out two former UFC champions who had never been finished before. If Islam Makhachev defeats Ian Garry, Prates, and Shavkat Rakhmonov, the analyst argues he would equal Jon Jones' legacy and Russian MMA would surpass American MMA.
