Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective on living in Poland versus the United States during a podcast appearance. The UFC lightweight stated that the more he travels, the more he appreciates Poland, describing it as clean, safe, and in many ways more modern than America. He provided examples of Poland being ahead technologically in everyday conveniences, such as portable payment terminals in restaurants that were common in Poland a decade before they appeared in the US. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality, recounting experiences where he was invited to barbecues but would have gone hungry if he hadn't brought his own food, contrasting this with Polish culture where guests are well fed and treated warmly. He noted that while the US offers advantages for his sports career, life there isn't necessarily better, and even his children prefer being home in Poland. Gamrot concluded that everything is simply easier to navigate and resolve when you're in your home country.
