UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States, despite its political issues. Speaking on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast, Gamrot cited examples including payment technology and social customs, noting that portable payment terminals he saw introduced in U.S. restaurants had been standard in Poland for a decade. He also criticized American social interactions as superficial and described attending barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. While acknowledging the U.S. has advantages for sports careers, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, and that even his children preferred returning home to Poland. He noted that handling everyday matters is faster and easier at home where he knows the shortcuts.
