UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot has spoken extensively about his perspective that Poland is superior to the United States in many practical aspects of daily life. In an interview on the "WojewódzkiKędzierski" podcast, Gamrot argued that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more technologically current than America. He cited examples such as portable payment terminals being commonplace in Poland a decade before they became standard in US restaurants. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality customs, noting he was invited to barbecues twice where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food, contrasting this with Polish generosity. He described American social interactions as superficial and mentioned that while the US offers career advantages for athletes, quality of life is not necessarily better. Gamrot emphasized that even his children preferred returning to their grandmother in Poland despite being on a Florida beach vacation.
