Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The lightweight fighter cited examples like portable payment terminals arriving in US restaurants years after they were common in Poland. Gamrot criticized Americans as not being genuinely hospitable, recounting being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry if he hadn't brought his own food. He also noted that social interactions in the US are superficial, with people asking "How are you?" but not expecting honest answers. Despite acknowledging the US offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that life quality isn't necessarily better there, and even his children prefer being home in Poland.
