Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective on living in Poland versus the United States during a podcast appearance. The lightweight contender stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America, despite governmental issues. He cited examples like payment terminals being common in Poland a decade before they appeared in some U.S. restaurants he visited. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality, recounting experiences where he had to bring his own food to barbecues and found social interactions superficial. While acknowledging advantages in the U.S. for sports and career opportunities, he emphasized that quality of life is not necessarily better there, noting his children preferred visiting their grandmother in Poland over staying at Florida beaches.
