UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The Polish fighter noted that basic conveniences like portable payment terminals arrived in Poland years before becoming standard in America. Gamrot criticized American social interactions as superficial, describing the typical 'how are you' exchange as meaningless pleasantry rather than genuine interest. He also pointed out cultural differences in hospitality, claiming that at American barbecues he attended, he would have gone hungry if he hadn't brought his own food. Despite acknowledging career advantages in the U.S. for his sport, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life and practical daily matters are often easier to navigate in his home country.
