Mateusz Gamrot has shared his perspective on living in Poland versus the United States, arguing that his home country is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many aspects more modern than America. The lightweight fighter cited examples like Poland having portable payment terminals in restaurants a decade before they became common in the US. Gamrot also criticized American hospitality culture, recounting being invited to barbecues twice where he would have gone hungry if he hadn't brought his own food, contrasting this with Polish generosity. He described American social interactions as superficial, noting the formulaic "Hi, how are you? Fine, bye bye" exchanges. While acknowledging that the US offers advantages for his sports career, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there, with his children even preferring visiting their grandmother in Poland over being at the beach in Florida. He noted that handling everyday matters is faster and easier at home where he knows all the shortcuts.
