Gamrot says Poland is cleaner and safer than USA despite career advantages

UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable and in many ways more modern than the United States, despite America's advantages for his fighting career. Gamrot cited experiences such as restaurants in the US only recently adopting portable payment terminals that have been standard in Poland for over a decade. He described American hospitality as superficial, recounting instances where he was invited to barbecues but had to bring his own food, contrasting this with Polish culture where guests are well fed and entertained. Gamrot noted that while the US offers career benefits for his sport, daily life and logistics are often easier to manage in Poland. He shared that even his children, despite being in Florida with beaches and palm trees, expressed a desire to return to their grandmother in Poland, suggesting that quality of life extends beyond superficial amenities.
